What is Food Revolution Day?
- The Food Revolution and Food Revolution Day are the creations of chef and cookbook author, Jamie Oliver. The Food Revolution is Jamie’s idea to make America a leader in the quest for better food, and a healthier population by inspiring everyone to get back to basics in the way we cook and eat – eschewing processed foods and embracing cooking good food from scratch. From this seed idea, Jamie hopes to bring together millions of people and inspire the nation to fight obesity with better food. Cooking is, without a doubt, one of the most important things a person can ever learn. Once someone has that knowledge, that’s it – they’re set for life
These basic precepts of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution resonate with the ideas and ingredients that comprise the menu at Redbud Cafe. Join us at Redbud Cafe for Food Revolution Day - making the world a better place through good food choices, keeping cooking skills alive, and inspiring future generations to continue these practices from their homes, schools and workplaces.
